Please visit our Design Philosophy page for an explanation of our core design concept for table settings.
We design and prototype / stage our kits in the wild, well, at least at the wineries in California. To design our Iris1-06 kit we packed the van with a selection of kit components and headed north to Sonoma County's Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys for two days of testing our design concepts in winery picnic areas in October 2006.
We set up at Fieldstone and Forchini Wineries where Katya worked with the various items until she had the design that captured the moment. After the design work and photography we took a late afternoon break for lunch.
Staging is accessorized with a menu of Italian cold cut meats, cheeses, fig jam, gourmet breads, herbs, and wine of course! We relax after the designing and lunch can take up to three hours! After about an hour we were too relaxed to think. (Yes, we could safely drive afterwards. One glass of wine per hour with food, no more than three.)
Well designed table settings set the stage for romance, friendship, conversation, and relaxation. They transport you to another environment - one that you create for relaxation, warmth, friendship, and conversation. Intiri Designs table setting kits empower you to create the ambiance, the emotions, and moods that you want to experience.
Intiri Designs kits:
Our kits are platforms to stage a wine country meal - just add friends, food, and wine. Whether this is a gift to yourself, an unusual or romantic wedding gift, an anniversary gift, or a gift for a special occasion, that person will be able to use the kit as a stage for memorable meals and entertaining.
We want our kits to go to good homes, enhance your dining experience, and help you achieve the lifestyle of your dreams! Please email us if you have questions!
We design kits with the color palette that is appropriate for the theme. In 2005 and 2006 we traveled all the major wine regions of California collecting colors with a colorimeter no less. This is the palette we use for selecting textiles, candle colors, and other items for our kits.
